Let the wedding planning begin...

First of all - thanks for all the sweet comments on my last post!! :)

So tomorrow will officially mark two weeks of me being engaged... still hard to believe...

Believe it or not, I'm not one of those girls who had her entire wedding planned since she was five. Yeah, I've thought about it here and there - but never really thought it through.

So... we're hoping (fingers crossed)... to get married early December of next year. That is a year and 3 and a half months away. It seems so far away.

But....for some reason this girl who's never thought about her wedding has all of a sudden, in the past two weeks, can't stop reading wedding magazines, browsing wedding blogs, Google image searching for wedding keywords, etc. etc. etc. I think I send my mom and my sister at least two emails a day with "What about this?" or "What do you think about this?" or "Imagine this with this and this..and then maybe this? But oh, maybe this instead."

I don't know what's gotten into me...

So the general concept I tend to be leaning towards... Christmas (without being cheesy or too Christmas-y, sans red), cold weather/wintery, diamonds, candlelight and white Christmas lights, etc. etc. etc.

So here's the color scheme I'm thinking... navy and green with grey/silver accents...

What do you think?? I have so many ideas, my head is swimming...

Okay, how did I miss the last post!!! I just went back and read everything. I got teary-eyed even being a Gamecocks fan! Congratulations! And I am loving the color scheme, beautiful. I was reading a wedding magazine and they were talking about winter weddings and they were beautiful. They did a dark red (crimson), white, and silver. But you may not want those on the mere fact of that red color. It was very timeless. and all the glasses and plates and centerpieces were clear glass, it was a winter wonderland.

Love the colors ....there are SOO Many things you can do for a winter/Christmas wedding...
You could decorate tree branches and spray paint them silver and drip them with silver jewels for some decor, part of a centerpiece.....you could take ornament balls and spray paint them your colors and do something cute with them....when I think of winter/ Christmas weddings I think candles and lighting EVERYWHERE which makes things so magical...I am more of a romantic-esque kind of girl rather than floral though so thats just me! hahaha aaaaaaaaaaahhh your options are endless :) I would be the same way!

First off, CONGRATULATIONS! That's so exciting. And planning a wedding is so much fun, despite the stress. We were hoping my SIL would get married in December because of all of the fun decorating ideas you can play with. I think the colors you have chosen will be very wintery and elegant. I help my MIL do flowers for weddings, so if I can be of any assistance in the idea or information department, let me know!
