April showers bring Easter flowers...

It's becoming a tradition with me - wearing Lilly again for Easter on Sunday...love, love, love this dress and I can't wait to wear it. Looking forward to beautiful weather and time with family in Birmingham.

My February in Photos

Hosted Super Bowl party that included a Woofle Ball game behind
our house. Had to hold your beer in one hand and play w/ the other!
My adorable niece turned one earlier this month!

My sister did an awesome job with the owl themed party!
These cupcakes were the cutest!

LOVE this photo - this was after she demolished her cake.

Bradley and I celebrated Valentine's Day at Osteria la Bottiglia - a hole
in the wall Italian eatery off of King St. that we tried for the first time.
The atmosphere was so nice and the food was delicious. Highly recommend!
Spent a Saturday at Folly Gras - a day long celebration at Folly Beach. It included
a mini parade of over the top decorated golf carts and...well..this thing.
Lots dinners with friends - including one at the new Pawley's Front Porch
in Belle Hall shopping center off of Long Point. I used to eat/drink at the one in
Five Points in Columbia all the time when I lived there. Their burgers are so good.
I 'attempted' to be healthy this time by switching my burger to chicken - but I'm sure the
pasta salad side, fried green tomato, and boursin cheese didn't help matters. :)

And lots of weekends in town means lots of happy hours with friends
(and realizing I may be too old for all this drinking). Evidently this night black
and white stripes were the uniform.

And last but not least...lots of lazy Sundays and sleeping in.
Even our playful puppy was enjoying the lazy days.

Here's to a fun-filled March that's just as good (if not better) than February!

Weekend Recap in Photos

Went to Virginia Beach, VA for a family friends' wedding.
Got to see my adorable niece - she's getting so big! Look at those cheeks!
View from our hotel room.
Lots of beach time during the day.
Beach wedding - loved the decorations.
Groom waiting for his bride.
Here comes the bride!
Bridesmaids in turquoise and bare feet - orange bouquets.
"I do!"
Unity sand - into an hourglass.
"I now pronounce you man and wife!"
Beachy centerpieces.
Orange flowers created lots of color!
Loved this cupcake tower - flavors were coconut and mint chocolate. Delicious!
Favors... at first we couldn't figure out what it was...magnet? paper weight?
Other favors included sand and shell filled candles.
Me and my fiance... my RTR dress, lol.
Starfish favor was... bottle opener! Winning! Already in my beach bag.
I had the crab cakes - delicious!
One of our friend's daughters was ready for bed - so she decided to
just plop down on floor and go to sleep. So cute.

Not really sure what's going on here...except that my Spanx makes
my butt look like a rap star's girlfriend's booty...
Lots of dancing - yes that would be napkins on their heads. Kind of a tradition...long story. :)
Sunday night Bradley and I were still in town and a lot of folks had left.
So we went on a mini-date and had dinner on the water. It was so nice and relaxing.
Bradley. I love that five years later I still look at him and think "Damn, he's hot!". :)
Me.
Got back to Charleston (7 hr drive!) Monday evening - picked up Willow
from Pooch Palace where we board him - the dogs play all day long there.
Needless to say, Willow went right to bed when we got home...he snored all night. :)

THE END. :)

From wedding dress to baptism gown...

My sister just uploaded some more photos to Facebook, so I had to share... the first one is actually from my wedding dress shopping weekend, but my niece is wearing an "My aunt is the best" onesie...so I had to share. :)

The others are better photos of my niece's baptism dress made out of my mother's wedding dress. It's neat to think one day one of my own children will wear this when they get baptized...

Posted photo again so you could see reference:
My mom and my grandfather on her wedding day.

Much better photo of me and my niece.
