Winter Wedding: Invitations & Programs

When it came to our wedding invitations, I had no idea what I wanted or where to even begin. We wanted simple, something to compliment our wintery theme and used our wedding colors in some way (navy, green, silver).

We met with the designer who made my sister's wedding invitations, and everything he showed us that was 'wintery' was so elaborate, expected and super expensive. Anything custom would be crazy expensive.

Bradley and I decided that since we were spending more money in other places (my dress, photographer, etc.), at the end of the day, our invitations just weren't that important in the big scheme of things.

So...on a whim, I decided to look online and find something I liked that suited our needs, was low cost and would get the job done.

I stumbled upon Wedding Paper Divas.

After hours of searching through their designs, I found exactly what I was looking for. A simple design with a green wreath and our initials. I highly recommend Wedding Paper Divas -- not only was it much more affordable than specialty invitation shops and custom invitations, they have matching reply cards, enclosure cards, reception cards, etc.

And...you can customize pretty much any aspect of the pieces. I wanted to add "a seated dinner will be provided" to the reply cards and I just made a note of it in the comments. Then they email you proofs for you to review before they print. It was so easy to do completely online -- and we got them in two weeks after I approved the proofs.

I was so surprised at how nice they were!

Ordered navy ribbon in bulk from another website online and tied all
the pieces together before putting them in the envelopes...
Most of the designs included matching menu and program designs you could order too, but of course the design I picked did not. So I came up with a menu (see previous post) design and a program design I liked utilizing the same features of our invitations. We then asked a family friend who is a graphic designer to create the program and menus for us. We gave her an invitation and she did an awesome job!

Everything matched perfectly... loved it!

Then I got creative with my new camera and our rings... here's where I pretend to be a wedding photographer...try not to laugh, but it was fun. :)
